چکیده
This white paper discusses the role of root-cause analysis (RCA) in managing infrastructure availability and performance. By comparing two approaches – rules-based analysis and the EMC IonixTM Codebook Correlation TechnologyTM (CCT) – this paper illustrates the unique advantages of CCT and explains why CCT is the only viable method for automating the analysis of any type of problem in any networked system, no matter how complex. It also demonstrates how CCT provides uniquely powerful developmentand maintenance-free intelligent analysis that automatically adapts to the managed environment.
